KERNIT Documentation
Springer Manuscript Format
The Springer Manuscript Format preset supports Springer-style headings, references, and manuscript layout. For current KERNIT workflows, use the preset for formatting and the Hyperlinker for reviewable DOCX links.
Preset Role#
This page documents the formatter preset. It is useful when you need manuscript layout guidance. It is not the main KERNIT product surface; for citation and cross-reference automation, use DOCX Hyperlinker.
What to Check Before Hyperlinking#
| Check | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Reference order and labels | Citation links depend on the bibliography shape that reaches the DOCX. |
| Figure and table captions | Cross-reference targets must exist as detectable captions or labels. |
| Equation numbering | Equation links are safer when numbering is visible and consistent. |
| Journal-specific citation style | The Springer Manuscript Format preset can shape formatting, but link review still decides whether each detected target is correct. |
Recommended Combined Workflow#
- Prepare or export the manuscript DOCX.
- Run KERNIT Hyperlinker scan.
- Resolve DOI evidence where useful.
- Review and apply links before submission.
