KERNIT Documentation
Reference Review
Reference review is the quality-control layer between detection and final DOCX output. It lets users approve, skip, retarget, or hold identity-changing resolver updates before links are written.
Review Statuses#
| Status | Meaning | Action |
|---|---|---|
| Ready | KERNIT has enough evidence to suggest a target. | Review quickly or keep. |
| Unmatched | No safe target was found. | Retarget manually or skip. |
| Low confidence | Evidence is incomplete or conflicting. | Inspect source text and target. |
| Identity change | Resolver evidence may change author/title/year identity. | Prefer link-only unless the reviewer confirms. |
| Held | KERNIT intentionally avoids an automatic rewrite. | Review manually. |
Reviewer Priority#
Start with unmatched and low-confidence rows, then check DOI resolver rows that affect visible reference identity, then scan the remaining ready rows.
