FAQ

What is KERNIT?
KERNIT is a DOCX cross-reference hyperlinker and API for academic manuscripts. It links citations, bibliography entries, figures, tables, equations, sections, appendices, DOIs, and resolved reference evidence.
Is the formatter gone?
No. Formatter and export docs remain available under the legacy formatter section, but the lead product is Hyperlinker.
Can I automate KERNIT?
Yes. Use the KERNIT API on https://api.kernit.org with Bearer keys.
Why does apply require scan tokens?
The token protects the review contract by ensuring that the file, settings, and review graph match the earlier scan.
