KERNIT Documentation
Lancet Paper Format
The Lancet Paper Format preset supports clinical manuscript structure and Vancouver citation support. For current KERNIT workflows, use the preset for formatting and the Hyperlinker for reviewable DOCX links.
Preset Role#
This page documents the formatter preset. It is useful when you need manuscript layout guidance. It is not the main KERNIT product surface; for citation and cross-reference automation, use DOCX Hyperlinker.
What to Check Before Hyperlinking#
| Check | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Reference order and labels | Citation links depend on the bibliography shape that reaches the DOCX. |
| Figure and table captions | Cross-reference targets must exist as detectable captions or labels. |
| Equation numbering | Equation links are safer when numbering is visible and consistent. |
| Journal-specific citation style | The Lancet Paper Format preset can shape formatting, but link review still decides whether each detected target is correct. |
Recommended Combined Workflow#
- Prepare or export the manuscript DOCX.
- Run KERNIT Hyperlinker scan.
- Resolve DOI evidence where useful.
- Review and apply links before submission.
